About me

Eva Thompson received her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in December 2016 and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She has dedicated her entire nursing career caring and advocating for women, working as a labor and delivery RN for 17 years before becoming a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Her OB experience ranges from working at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital L&D for 11 years w/ prior nursing experiences at a Level II Maternity Center and at a birthing center in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas in a volunteer capacity.

Eva abides by the Marquette Nursing philosophy of  "cura personalis"  or care for the entire person. She integrates evidence-based practices to help women achieve their optimal physical, mental, and emotional health.

Eva is a native of Illinois but has lived in St. Mary's County since 2015 and is proud to call Southern Maryland home. She lives with her husband, two kids, two dogs, and two cats. She loves staying active with cycling, kayaking, yoga, and weight lifting. She also enjoys painting, reading, cooking, and watching baseball (Go Cubs and Nats!) with her family.
