About me

Dr. Jaya M. Janadhyala, is a board-certified cardiologist who provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease. Additionally, she has a strong focus on preventive cardiology and women’s cardiovascular health, including the evaluation and management of patients with pregnancy-related complications such as preeclampsia and gestational hypertension.

Her approach to care emphasizes prevention, early risk identification, and individualized treatment plans. She uses evidence-based medical therapies to manage cardiovascular disease and control risk factors, while also focusing on preventive cardiology strategies such as lifestyle counseling and personalized risk assessments. With specialized training in advanced cardiovascular imaging, she uses precise diagnostic tools to better understand each patient’s condition and guide treatment decisions. Dr. Janadhyala values a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, particularly in areas such as cardio-obstetrics and women’s health, to ensure patients receive comprehensive, well-coordinated support.

Her research has focused on cardiovascular risk reduction and health equity, including smoking cessation interventions to reduce cardiovascular risk, cardiometabolic health in pregnancy, and preventative strategies in underserved populations.

Philosophy of care

Dr. Janadhyala strongly believes that cardiovascular disease is often preventable, which is why she focuses on prevention, education, and partnering with her patients, so that, together, they can identify and reduce that risk in a sustainable way. It is important to her that patients leave her office feeling informed and empowered to take an active role in their care.

Education and training

Dr. Janadhyala earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where she was recognized as a Harrison Scholar for her academic excellence and leadership. She completed her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Cooper University Hospital, Camden, New Jersey, where she served as chief fellow. In 2024, she earned third place at the Delaware Valley Echo Society Meeting: Great Cases in Echocardiography Competition.

She is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
