About me
Jeffrey Matheny, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship trained sports medicine orthopedic surgeon, who also specializes in total joint replacement surgery. He provides comprehensive, outcomes-centered care, with special focus on knee, hip, and shoulder conditions. Dr. Matheny’s patient population is diverse; he cares for athletes and weekend warriors whose goals are to heal and return to their sports and hobbies, as well as people of all ages who want to eliminate joint pain so they can live a happy, active, and pain-free lifestyle.
While surgical care is a core focus for Dr. Matheny, he also believes strongly in the value of pursuing non-operative care options as a first step for many patients. Throughout his 25+ years of practice, he has helped many patients resolve their orthopedic issues through use of medications, physical therapy, activity or lifestyle modifications, and bracing.
