“Throughout my academic career and clinical practice, compassionate care and respectful treatment of patients have been central elements of my philosophy. Equal treatment of ALL is key to achieving health equity. In practice, my holistic orientation entails not only reliance on scientific knowledge, but also the obligation to serve my patients’ families and communities - my commitment transcends medical treatment.
