Treating Two Patients: Care for Complex Pregnancies
Jennifer Ballard, MD, FACOG, is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a subspecialty certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She completed her medical degree at the University of Michigan, followed by residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Minnesota and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island/Brown University.
Dr. Ballard provides prenatal evaluation and care in partnership with referring physicians. Her special areas of interest include: Maternal-fetal medicine counseling and complex pregnancy management:
- Maternal disease affecting pregnancy, including diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune or renal disease
- Prior pregnancy complications, including preterm birth or pregnancy loss
- HIV and other infectious diseases
- Multi-fetal pregnancy
- Fetal diagnosis and monitoring
- Centering in Pregnancy: A special version of Centering care (group prenatal care) providing women with moderate risk conditions the opportunity for small group instruction and birth preparation
