About me
Joshua Perlman, DO, is board certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. In addition to acute, chronic, and preventative primary care for all ages, he specializes in treating athletic injuries and non-surgical orthopedics. He completed his Family Medicine Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Maryland.
Dr. Perlman serves as faculty in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine for the MedStar Health Georgetown University (Baltimore) Family Medicine Residency Program. He is also an Assistant Team Physician for Goucher College.
During his fellowship training, he worked with the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, and Old Glory DC Rugby Football Club. He also served as a Fellow Team Physician for several NCAA Division I schools, including the University of Maryland, UMBC, Morgan State University, and Coppin State University. Dr. Perlman performs ultrasound-guided procedures to treat various conditions including osteoarthritis and tendinopathies.
A lifelong athlete, Dr. Perlman understands the challenges of sports injuries. His athletic background includes martial arts such as Tae Kwon Do, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, as well as swimming, and figure skating.
