Interventional Pain medicine is a sub-specialty of the medical specialty devoted to use of interventions like facet injections,epidural steroid injections,peripheral nerve blocks , peripheral joint injections for targeted management of pain non-responsive to conservative measures.These interventions are extremely helpful for moderate to severe pain and trial of these injections is suggested sometimes over surgical options.

    This was an initial visit and Dr Shah didn't do any kind of physical exam. While I appreciate her retrieving all my medical records, much information about my current issues are already in the medstar EMR, which she clearly didn't bother to consult before speaking with me.
