About me

Kathan D. Mehta, MD, MPH, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained hematologist oncologist at MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center. As a specialist in blood disorders and cancers, Dr. Mehta provides chemotherapy, immunotherapy, oral-targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy. He also is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.

Dr. Mehta’s approach to care centers on providing patients personalized services and reliable education. He begins by ensuring that they clearly understand their cancer diagnosis.
