About me
Pedro Emilio Alcedo, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified hematologist. His area of special expertise and interest is thrombotic disorders (formation of a blood clot inside a blood vessel that obstructs the flow of blood through the circulatory system).
Dr. Alcedo earned his medical degree and completed a residency at Los Andes University, Venezuela. He completed his internal medicine residency at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas and a fellowship in hematology at the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Alcedo’s research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Oncology & Hematology Review, European Journal of Haematology, and British Journal of Haematology.
