About me
Shalini Kamal, MD, F.R.C.P., F.R.C.S., was born in India and attended medical school there. She moved to England where she worked for four years and received her F.R.C.P. and F.R.C.S. degrees. She then moved to Baltimore and completed a residency in internal medicine at Sinai Hospital. She received her board certification in internal medicine in 1990 and recertified in 2000. She lives with her husband and two daughters in Baltimore County. Dr. Kamal has been awarded Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance and American Diabetes Association Diabetes Recognition Program (DRP). Clinicians who achieve DRP Recognition are part of an elite group that is publicly recognized for its skill in providing the highest level of diabetes care. Dr. Kamal has been awarded recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance Physician Practice Connections Patient-Centered Medical Home Program (PPC-PCMH). Recognition identifies clinicians who make the most of clinical information to make better decisions and provide better follow-up care.
