Tamar Harel, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and the director of neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. She also serves as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Georgetown University Medical Center.

Dr. Harel specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and other autoimmune disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. She uses the most up-to-date treatments to control MS and is also experienced in treating the medical conditions that frequently accompany the disease. Dr. Harel is well versed in innovative headache and migraine management and offers Botox injections and nerve blocks. She also provides general neurological care and performs a wide variety of treatments.
