Dr. English is a Licensed Psychologist at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, where they provide services within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. English holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College, where they also received an M.S. in Clinical Psychology. Dr. English completed their predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship training with the University of Maryland School of Medicine (SOM) and the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC), where they were primarily positioned in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Unit.
Dr. English is passionate about implementing evidence-based practice with adolescents and caregivers in acute care settings. They are active in the integration of gender-affirming approaches to interdisciplinary care as well as supporting LGBTQ+ youth and facilitating opportunities for family acceptance. Dr. English’s research interests include addressing barriers to effective acute care services, including reducing the risk of readmission to psychiatric inpatient care.
