Dr. Sheena Ramdeen joined MedStar Washington Hospital Center Section of Infectious Diseases in 2015 and serves as the Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship. She also participates in the MedStar Washington Hospital Center Sepsis Committee and the MedStar Health Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee.
Her academic interests include Antimicrobial Stewardship, HIV, and general Infectious Diseases. She enjoys working with medical students, residents, and fellows and has helped them complete several Quality Improvement projects that were presented as abstracts at national conferences. She was also awarded the James A. Curtin Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2022 and 2025.
Outside of work, Dr. Ramdeen volunteers with the Junior League of Washington, is an active member of the New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, and enjoys traveling, reading with two book clubs, and spending time with her friends and family.
