From: New Jersey

Medical school: Rutgers New Jersey Medical School

Residency: MedStar Georgetown Medicine-Pediatrics

Why Georgetown? Having done residency here I can vouch that the most important reason I wanted to stay at Georgetown was the people. We have a widely respected PCCM department and have good relationships with companion departments including radiology, hospitalist medicine, rheumatology, infectious disease, and thoracic surgery just to name a few. Also, we get fantastic and early procedural exposure here. Not many first-year fellows in PCCM can say that they have done as many bronchoscopies with EBUS, robot-assisted bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, and right heart catheterizations as my class has.

Favorite thing about DC: Definitely the food. Plus, it isn't too far of a drive to find great hiking destinations, wineries, or breweries in Virginia/Maryland if that's your thing!
