J. Michael Niehoff, MD

Following residency training, Dr. Niehoff opened a family medicine office in Dundalk, MD. This practice was well received by the community and covered a full range of outpatient and inpatient services. His interest in sports medicine also started at this time, and he became the team physician for Dundalk High School, a position he held for 15 years. He now supervises the Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal Clinic in the Family Health Center. Dr. Niehoff also earned a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine and completed a fellowship in primary care faculty development at Michigan State University. He has been a full-time faculty member in the Family Medicine Residency since 1987. He is interested in teaching the whole range of family medicine and, in particular, office procedures and musculoskeletal medicine. Dr. Niehoff also holds leadership positions with the Baltimore County Medical Association and MedChi, the Maryland state medical society.
