Meghan Veno, MD

Dr. Meghan Veno is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine and a faculty member at the MedStar Georgetown University (D.C.) Residency Program in Family Medicine.

She attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School before completing her residency at The Stamford Hospital-Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and has been a practicing family medicine doctor since 2019.

She joined our program in 2024 and has taken on clinical roles both in the inpatient setting and in our outpatient clinic. Her clinical areas of interest include hospital medicine, sports medicine, comprehensive diabetes care, and adolescent medicine. As one of our POCUS champions, she is enthusiastic about integrating ultrasound into care both in our clinic and in the hospital.

Dr. Veno became interested in family medicine because she believes in the importance of preventative care and treating the patient holistically. She particularly enjoys taking care of whole families, especially multiple generations. Her goal is to build longitudinal therapeutic relationships and help guide patients through pivotal life transitions, including those that lead from the hospital to helping them stay out of the hospital.

A native of Massachusetts, Dr. Veno currently resides in Washington, D.C. with her husband and two cats. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, completing amateur home-improvement projects, playing crossword puzzles, and geography trivia.
