Why I chose Georgetown/Providence Family Medicine: When I was deciding on residency programs, I looked for some specific things. The program provides great medical training along with strong faculty and residents in a truly underserved community. Faculty members genuinely care about our goals and want to see us succeed wherever we want to end up. Between the program’s atmosphere and my interests in Family Medicine, it is easy to see why Georgetown was such a great fit. I mean really, what better place to blend my interests in public health, research, and health policy than in our Nation’s Capital? Georgetown’s fellowship programs and strong relationship with the Robert Graham Center create unique opportunities for us to strengthen our academic experience for leadership positions after residency graduation.
