Dr. Adrien Janvier

Dr. Adrien Janvier is an Associate Program Director and a native of Brooklyn, New York.  He graduated medical and graduate school from New York University.  He went on to complete internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, followed by a nephrology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He initially joined MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center as a hospitalist, where his natural affinity for teaching showed through early. He transitioned to a full time faculty member, where he is one of our most sought after educators. He enjoys teaching residents clinical medicine and has an interest in quality improvement and high value care.  He has worked on several projects aimed at reducing unnecessary inpatient AM lab draws and improving medication history-taking and reconciliation.  He is also actively looking to incorporate point-of-care ultrasound into daily patient evaluations to enhance bedside diagnostic capabilities.

Dr. Janvier holds a faculty appointment at Georgetown University as an Assistant Clinical Professor. He is the Director of the Inpatient Care Track, guiding our residents who have a strong interest in the inpatient care setting. He serves as an advisor for many residents and has coauthored papers with several. An active citizen of the Medstar community, he serves on the Transfusion Practice Committee, MHIM Clinical Competency Committee, Risk Management Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and the MHIM Workgroup for Racial Justice.
