A Message From Our Chair

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Pediatrics at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital.

This is an exciting time for you to be looking to train in Pediatrics, and we are pleased that you are considering our program. Our department has a long and rich tradition in education, anchored by a core of experienced and committed faculty who represent all of the specialties and subspecialties important to your education. Whether your goals are to become a primary care physician or specialize in any field in the care of children, we tailor the residency curriculum to the needs of our learners.

We are proud that our residency has many features such as global health, public health and advocacy, patient safety and quality improvement and research tracks. We hold continuity clinic in a very diverse site with faculty who follow the residents through all three years of training.

We look forward to seeing you and showing you our program, as well as answering any questions that you may have.
