Dr. Binbin Wu is a Medical Physicist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, whose research on knowledge-based and automated treatment planning, VMAT/MLC modulation, and quality assurance has shaped how radiation therapy is delivered. He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics since 2014, with prior faculty appointments at Johns Hopkins University, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Georgetown University.
Dr. Wu has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, including 7 first-author publications in Medical Physics, the International Journal of Radiation Oncology • Biology • Physics, and Radiotherapy and Oncology. His work has been cited more than 2,000 times, with his leading paper surpassing 400 citations and leading to treatment-planning technology licensed to Varian Medical Systems and commercialized as RapidPlan, now used clinically worldwide. He has served as a Senior Associate Editor of Medical Physics since 2013.
