Laura Schubel

Laura is a research assistant with the MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare. As a research assistant, Laura supports the research efforts of several ongoing grants and contracts, including funded work by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). She also assists with internal Institutional Review Board processes and has presented at several large, external conferences including the annual meeting of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. Her work with the Center has largely focused on clinical decision support optimization and patient engagement. Laura graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders and has specialized research experience in the field of cognitive neuroscience. In her spare time, Laura enjoys running and traveling.
