Comprehensive evaluation of your child by our team of pediatric specialists
The Autism and Communications Disorder Clinic (ACDC) provides a comprehensive evaluation of your child by our team of pediatric specialists. The purpose of this clinic is to evaluate the whole child and identify areas of need and support. In order to provide the most thorough evaluation of your child, the evaluation is scheduled over the course of three to four separate visits. This allows each member of the team to fully evaluate the needs of your child. Once your child is seen by each specialist of the team, a parent conference is scheduled to discuss the results of the assessments, diagnostic impressions, and further recommendations.
Scheduling an appointment
How do I schedule an appointment for my child?
- Complete the intake form. Once the completed form has been submitted, a member of our team will contact you to review your child’s medical history, current symptoms and/or behaviors.
- Prior to scheduling clinic appointments, the team may require the following:
- a prescription from your child’s referring physician
- copies of any recent evaluations by other developmental specialists. This may include an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), Individualized Education Program (IEP), and/or outside evaluations by developmental pediatricians, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, etc.
- video clips of your child in a comfortable setting (e.g., home, school)
- The scheduler will review any information needed with you over the phone.
