Carrie Koenig

Carrie E. Koenig, MBA, serves as vice president of patient experience and communication for MedStar Health Home Care and MedStar Health Research Institute (MHRI). She provides executive oversight of internal and external communications and associate engagement strategies for both organizations, aligning efforts with MedStar Health priorities while supporting the distinct missions of care delivery and scientific research.

At MedStar Health Home Care, Koenig leads patient experience strategy, advancing a patient-centered approach to service delivery across home healthcare and infusion companies which serve patients in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. Across both organizations, she serves as a senior advisor to executive leadership on communication, engagement, and change management strategies that build trust, strengthen culture, enhance performance, and advance awareness of home health services and research opportunities within MedStar Health and the broader healthcare community.

Koenig joined MedStar Health in 2000 and has held roles across the healthcare system, including MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital and MedStar Health Corporate. She has earned more than 20 international and regional awards for excellence in marketing and internal communication strategy.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Towson University and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland.
