Equity, Inclusion & Diversity Progress Report

Our journey

When MedStar Health committed to establishing Equity, Inclusion & Diversity (EI&D) as a strategic focus in 2021, we recognized the monumental goal and opportunity before us. We have since invested significant resources, focused efforts and endless enthusiasm into evolving our organization, embedding EI&D in our culture and addressing health equity across our industry and communities.

The MedStar Health EI&D efforts are a significant component of the MedStar Health Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan (our strategic priorities and tactics for the system) each year.

Our MedStar Health EI&D Steering Committee and EI&D Entity Councils work diligently, focused on education and awareness, to execute elements of our MedStar Health EI&D Strategic Focus (click here), including our long-term vision for Workplace, Workforce, Community, Provider of Choice/Clinical Care, and Financial/Operational Results.

As always, our associates have stepped up and spoken up to be the change we want to see at MedStar Health, across our entities and within our communities.
