Dr Ben-Dor is the program director of Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, an associate director of MedStar Washington Hospital Center Cardiac Cath Labs, and an associate professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Dr. Ben-Dor has advanced specialized training in treating and managing cardiovascular disease. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Ben-Dor currently leads the research at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where he is part of a medical team uniquely qualified to treat coronary and structural heart disease. As a heart disease specialist, he is highly skilled in the whole range of cardiological therapies. His research interests include coronary and structural heart disease, valvular heart disease, and acute heart problems.
Dr. Ben-Dor specializes in treating coronary and structural heart disease through percutaneous coronary intervention, balloon aortic and mitral valvuloplasty, alcohol septal ablation, transcatheter aortic valve implantation, mitral valve clip, and transcatheter mitral valve replacement.
Dr. Ben-Dor received his Medical Degree cum laude in 2001 from the prestigious Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. He has completed medical internships and residencies in Israel and the United States, most recently completing a MedStar Washington Hospital Center fellowship in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease.
