Talal M R H Al-Qaoud, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified kidney and pancreas transplant surgeon. He treats patients with the full range of kidney and pancreas conditions including chronic kidney disease, brittle diabetes, hypoglycemic unawareness, ADPCKD, Nutcracker syndrome/renovascular disease, Renal Cell Cancers, ureteral stricture/trauma, and bladder dysfunction requiring urinary diversion.
He is an active researcher and has published on a range of topics, including pancreas transplantation outcomes, pancreatic transplant cystic lesions, management of transplant ureteral strictures, pretransplant malignancy in transplant candidates, loin-pain-hematuria syndrome, nutcracker syndrome, use of pediatric pancreas donors, and renal cell cancer in transplant recipients. His work has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including American Journal of Transplantation, Transplant International, and Current Opinions in Organ Transplantation, and he has presented at national and international meetings and conferences.
