About me
Anita Tammara, MD, Medical Director of the MedStar Franklin Square Primary Care Center, received her doctorate degree from the American University of Antigua. She also holds a Masters degree in public health and had received a Masters of Business Administration in 2008. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center - Midtown Campus having been appointed to the position of Chief Resident in her third year. She is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Tammara has published papers on various research topics and clinical cases.
Dr. Tammara provides both inpatient care and primary care services within the Department of Medicine. She works closely in the internal medicine residents on both services and focused on improving resident education. She also does work within the Department of Medicine with capacity managment on the inpatient side and also is a member of several comittees for the department.
