Dr A Shah is an experienced and skilled physician that I have been treated by for a number of years. He is extremely knowledgeable but he seems impatient with my concerns and questions. He provided a good amount of information but did not seem interested in presenting pros and cons of his choice of treatment. He appeared to have decided exactly what needed to be done before we began tallking and with his expertise and years of experience, he Is likely correct. I did feel that he was so certain of the situation that he may not have interpreted my symptoms correctly and when I tried to engage him in discussion I felt almost as if he was presenting scare tactics to sway my thinking. To be fair, thus could be his concern that the best treatment for my care is followed. But I was left with no avenue to gain more information. On the other hand, I had not researched the treatment he proposed (dilation) before going in so I was not as well prepared with organized questions had I realized this was going to be the main topic. I do respect Dr Shah. I am distressed that I do not know how to resolve my concerns so that I can approach the suggested procedure with confidence .
