About me

Dr. Dang is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon who specializes in complex cranial surgery to treat brain and skull base tumors utilizing advanced technology. She is skilled in a comprehensive range of open and minimally invasive surgical procedures and precision imaging techniques to address benign or malignant tumors in challenging locations within the brain and skull base.

Her clinical expertise focus includes meningiomas, pituitary tumors, inner ear tumors, gliomas and glioblastomas, primary and metastatic tumors, spinal tumors, recurrent or residual brain tumors, severe head injury, hydrocephalus related to brain tumors, cerebrospinal fluid leaks, congenital tumor syndromes, and cranial nerve compression syndromes.

Understanding the complexities of the conditions she treats and the challenges her patients face, Dr. Dang is committed to exploring every appropriate treatment option, whether surgical or nonsurgical, to determine the approach that best meets the needs of both the patient and the condition being treated. Education & Training

Dr. Dang received a master’s degree in bioethics from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her medical degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine in Bryan, Texas. Her internship and residency were completed at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Falls Church, Virginia, followed by fellowships in Open and Endoscopic Skull Base Oncology and the Rhoton Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology Surgical Anatomy Program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and in Translational Neuro-Oncology Research at the Neuro-Oncology Branch of the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Dang has collaborated in and led extensive neuro-oncology research studies and authored numerous articles for publication. Currently, her research interests include new, emerging technology in brain tumor surgery and improving clinical outcomes through effective and collaborative team approaches to care.
