Dawn Giuffre Meyer, PhD, ABPP, received her bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and her master's and doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed an APA approved clinical internship with the VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville, Illinois. She then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology with the NorthShore University HealthSystem (now Endeavor Health) in Evanston, Illinois.
Dr. Giuffre Meyer joined the psychology team at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital in 2010. She is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist specializing in neuropsychological assessment of outpatients and inpatients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, heart failure, dementia, and other neurological conditions. She also provides treatment to outpatients with conditions such as stroke, mild cognitive impairment, acquired brain injury, and heart failure, focusing on issues such as adjustment to disability/illness.
Dr. Giuffre Meyer is a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, and she is licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and Illinois.
