About me
Dr. Edina Komlodi-Pasztor, Director of Neuro-Oncology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, is a UCNS-certified neuro-oncologist who leads a comprehensive and multidisciplinary clinical program. She specializes in the care of patients with primary brain tumors as well as patients with NF1, NF2, and schwannomatosis. She leads a rapidly growing neuro-oncology program and provides multidisciplinary care in close collaboration with neurosurgery, radiation oncology, and other specialties.
Dr. Komlodi-Pasztor has a particular focus on advancing diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in neuro-oncology, including the use of cerebrospinal fluid–based liquid biopsy. She has expertise in targeted therapies and is committed to delivering personalized, precision-based care. Her work is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative and translational research.
In addition to her clinical and research efforts, Dr. Komlodi-Pasztor is deeply committed to education and mentorship. She works closely with medical students, residents, and fellows, and has developed initiatives to introduce trainees to neuro-oncology early in their careers, including the establishment of a neuro-oncology scholarship program.
She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, including work recognized among the “Top 10 Must-Read Articles on Targeted Agents” by Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, as well as book chapters and online educational content. She is also the principal investigator on multiple investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trials.
Dr. Komlodi-Pasztor is dedicated to building a patient-centered, state-of-the-art clinical program and fostering collaborations across departments and institutions to enhance patient care and advance research in neuro-oncology.
