About me
Inara Omuso, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist (OB/GYN) and member of MedStar Health: Women’s Health at Clinton. She is an OB/GYN attending physician at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center’s Women & Newborns Center, where she joined in December 2021.
Dr. Omuso earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and then completed a residency program in obstetrics and gynecology at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University/Cooper University Hospital. She is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, also known as FACOG.
She provides care for all components of obstetrics and gynecology such as labor and delivery management and treating patients with irregular bleeding, fibroids, cysts or pelvic pain. She performs different types of procedures including, but not limited to, biopsies, colposcopies, pap smears, endometrial ablation, myomectomies and hysterectomies.
Dr. Omuso puts a strong emphasis on shared decision making as well as cultural diversity and sensitivity. She believes that patients should have their voices heard and be well educated about their care options.
“We have highly skilled physicians and nursing staff who use evidence-based practice models to care for patients,” Dr. Omuso said, “as well as performing regular reviews of patient safety and quality improvement strategies.”
Dr. Omuso is accepting new patients. Her office is located inside suite 308 of the Professional Building on MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center’s campus in Clinton.
