About me

Ishita Arya Gambhir, MD, is a board-certified neurologist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital specializing in Movement Disorders. Her areas of expertise and interest include Parkinson's Disease, Atypical Parkinsonisms, deep brain stimulator (DBS) programming, Essential Tremor and other forms of tremor, and tics/Tourette's Syndrome. Dr. Gambhir also performs botulinum toxin injections for dystonia, spasticity, sialorrhea and facial nerve disorders (hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm). She sees patients at  MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and in Mclean, VA.

Dr. Gambhir developed a particular interest for Movement Disorders during her Neurology residency and has a special focus on working with patients and their families to formulate a comprehensive treatment plan.
