Jessica Nicole Fields, MD

Jessica N. Fields, MD, specializes in cardiology. Dr. Fields is a hospitalist at MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute. She also currently serves as the AVP for Clinical Resource Management and Medical Operations at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. She is also the MedStar Health System Director for Hospital Quality Indicators. 

Dr. Fields is fluent in German, French and Hebrew and has a working knowledge of Spanish. She publishes extensively in her field. Dr. Fields received the MedStar Washington Hospital Center Superstar Award for documentation and coding improvement. Dr. Fields served on MedStar Washington Hospital Center's glycemic task force committee to improve blood sugar control in inpatients. She participates in many quality and safety committees.

Dr. Fields holds a Bachelor of Arts in German Literature, Bachelor Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from the University of Maryland College Park and a degree in workplace Spanish from the University of Maryland University College. She graduated Magnum Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. In addition, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College.
