About me
Dr. Murphy is a board-certified, fellowship-trained gastroenterologist who treats patients with the full range of gastrointestinal conditions, including colon cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), constipation, and diarrhea.
She is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterology Association, American College of Gastroenterology, and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Murphy earned her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed her residency at Pennsylvania Hospital, University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia. She also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C.
Her philosophy of care is focused on using evidence-based medicine to develop thoughtful, compassionate, individualized treatment for every patient.
When she’s not working, Dr. Murphy enjoys travelling and spending time with her family, friends, and dog.
