About me
Kira McBride, MPH, PA-C, is a nationally certified physician assistant, who provides patient-focused care for acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions in the hospital and the office. She treats patients with the full range of conditions, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), esophagitis, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, H. pylori infection, small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Her area of special expertise is the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and celiac disease.
She earned her Master of Science and Master of Public Health degrees from the George Washington University School of Medicine and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Her approach to caring for her patients focuses on comprehensive, compassionate, evidence-based, and collaborative intervention that cultivates a safe and supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered to be an integral part of their care. She cares for each patient as a whole person rather than simply treating the patient’s disease and prioritizes prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and support with navigating chronic or complex GI conditions.
