About me
Lauren Livesay, NP, joins the MedStar Lafayette Centre and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Department of Gastroenterology as Nurse Practitioner. She is part of our nationally-recognized multidisciplinary team who work together to diagnose conditions, provide effective treatments, and improve patients’ quality of life. Her areas of clinical interest include IBD and preventative medicine.
Having earned both her B.S. and M.S. in Nursing from the University of Virginia, Lauren went on to get dual certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Credentialing Center. In the fall of 2022, she completed additional training in IBD at the University of Chicago Medicine's IBD Center of Excellence as part of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation’s preceptorship program for Advance Practice Providers.
Lauren takes a personalized, compassionate, and comprehensive approach to caring for her patients, and brings to her role 5 years’ experience as Registered Nurse in intermediate care with a specialty focus in pre-transplant hepatology patients.
