Dr. Bahroo is a Professor of Neurology and Director of the Residency Program in the Department of Neurology at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. He attended Rutgers University for undergraduate studies and University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ) for his M.S and medical education. He completed his internship at Saint Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA and his Neurology Residency at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. Subsequently, he completed a two-year fellowship in Movement Disorders also at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital.

As a fellowship trained Movement Disorders specialist and manages an active clinic focusing on medical and surgical treatment of PD and ET. He also specializes in the therapeutic role of botulinum toxin injections for dystonia, spasticity, and sialorrhea. Dr. Bahroo lectures at regional, national, international conferences and publishes academic articles in various journals. He is active in resident and medical student education and regularly engages residents and fellows in teaching about management of movement disorders.
