Dr. Veiga received a Master's degree in Internal Medicine - Pulmonology from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janerio in 2006, and was a post-doctoral fellow at the National Institute on Aging in 2007 - 2008. She was the chief resident at MedStar Harbor Hospital in 2011.
