About me
Dr. Serrano completed her Pediatrics residency and Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition fellowship in New Orleans - Louisiana State University and Tulane University. She is the Division Chief for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and is an associate professor in Pediatrics at Georgetown University. Dr. Serrano has a special interest in nutritional support and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Serrano is a member of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and is co-chair for its Pediatric Affairs Committee. She is also a member of the Pan American Crohn's and Colitis Organization (PANCCO) and is the director for the pediatric task force of PANCCO which strives to enhance education on Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis for professionals, patients and their families in Latin America. She is board certified both in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology.
