About me
N. Todd Froelich, MD, is an obstetrician-gynecologist at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital. He provides prenatal care, performs vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and treats gynecologic conditions such as fibroids, heavy menstrual bleeding, and endometriosis using advanced medical and surgical techniques tailored to each patient.
Known for his clear communication and patient-centered approach, Dr. Froelich is dedicated to educating and empowering patients to understand their conditions and treatment options. A strong advocate for women’s health, he creates an inclusive, safe environment where patients are active participants in their care. Whether discussing surgical or non-surgical options, he carefully aligns treatment plans with each patient’s goals and unique circumstances—an approach that has earned him multiple patient satisfaction awards.
Dr. Froelich spent two years in Guatemala and is a certified Spanish-to-English translator. He is proud to serve Maryland’s diverse communities, including Hispanic immigrants, LGBTQ patients, and other traditionally underserved populations.
Dr. Froelich earned his medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Orlando Health Bayfront Medical Center. He has advanced training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and holds certifications from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as in Da Vinci robotic surgery.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.
