Dr. Ngozi U. Wexler is a highly esteemed obstetrician-gynecologist and healthcare executive, renowned for her extensive expertise in clinical care, medical education, and leadership. As the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, Dr. Wexler is a passionate advocate for health equity, quality improvement, and innovative patient care strategies. Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Wexler earned her MD and MPH from The George Washington University. She has held pivotal leadership roles in both military and civilian healthcare settings, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to excellence. Her clinical expertise encompasses advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, patient safety, and the integration of virtual health technologies. A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Wexler is a published author, dynamic speaker, and dedicated advocate for women's health. She actively contributes to the field through education, simulation activities, research, and initiatives aimed at providing equitable health care. Before assuming her current role, Dr. Wexler served as the Chair of the OBGYN Department at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. In this capacity, she led a busy minimally invasive gynecology practice and managed a large team of OBGYN generalists and hospitalist providers, ensuring compassionate, first-class care that made patients feel at home. Additionally, she practiced at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, where she served as the Medical Director of the OBGYN Hospitalist Program.
