About me
Nneka Holder, MD is an attending physician in the Dept. of Pediatrics at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. She graduated from The Lincoln University, Lincoln University, Pennsylvania and from Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. She completed pediatric residency and adolescent medicine fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center, Washington, D.C. She is double-boarded in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and holds an academic position as Associate Professor, Georgetown University.
Adolescent Medicine is the Pediatric Subspecialty that focuses on helping a young person develop into a healthy and confident young adult. As an Adolescent Medicine Specialist, Dr. Holder is able to utilize her expertise in preventive health, primary care, reproductive health and gynecology. She also works closely with a nutritionist and colloborates with local psychologists.
Dr. Holder is a member of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM). She is also a member of the Montgomery Pediatric Society and the District of Columbia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also serves on the Meningococcal Vaccine Work Group of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, as well as the Adolescent SubBoard Committee of the American Board of Pediatrics.
