About me
Rachel Barish, NP, AACC is a Nurse Practitioner in the outpatient cardiology clinic at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. She sees and treats patients with a wide range of cardiology diagnoses, with a focus on heart failure, cardio-oncology, and cardiovascular disease prevention.
Ms. Barish's approach to patient care emphasizes the importance of communication and a central focus on every individual patient. She has completed research in the area of patient-provider partnership in the treatment of heart failure and has started a patient-centered
support group for people living with heart failure. She has conducted and presented research at local and national conferences, and her work has been published in several journals and textbooks.
