About me
Samantha Berlin, PA-C, is a physician assistant who works for the MedStar Center for Gender Affirmation, located at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. She works in close collaboration with Gabriel Del Corral, MD, FACS, who serves as medical director for the Center, providing comprehensive, holistic, and patient-centered care for those who wish to pursue the process of gender transition.
Samantha sees patients in clinic before surgery, guiding each through the steps associated with pre-operative care and serving as a resource for education and support. She also assists Dr. Del Corral during surgical cases in the operating room, and consults with patients during their recovery process—when they are in the hospital as well as in the weeks and months to follow, post-discharge.
Samantha is a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine, where she earned a master of medical science through the school’s Physician Assistant Program. Additionally, she earned dual bachelor of science degrees at the University of Maryland College Park, with focus on cell biology and molecular genetics, and psychology. Samantha is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
