About me
Dr. Samar Nabil Rahhal is a Pediatric Endocrinologist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the American University of Beirut and completed her pediatric residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She went on to do her clinical fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Indiana University School of Medicine and is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.
With nearly two decades of experience as a pediatric endocrinologist, Dr. Rahhal brings extensive expertise in the evaluation and management of disorders of growth and puberty, diabetes, lipid disorders, adrenal and thyroid diseases, and other endocrine-related conditions. In previous roles, she cared for patients with complex endocrine and metabolic disorders and participated in clinical research initiatives. She also led multidisciplinary efforts to improve the management of pediatric hyperlipidemia. She has been actively involved in medical student and resident teaching and mentorship throughout her career.
Dr. Rahhal is currently practicing at MedStar Health Pediatrics at Tenleytown in Washington, DC, as well as our Leonardtown location in Maryland.
Outside of work, Dr. Rahhal enjoys reading, being in nature, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
