Michael received his undergraduate degree in Spanish language and literature from the University of Tulsa. He went on to receive his medical degree from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine. A board-certified pediatrician, Michael completed his general pediatrics residency at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine, where he remained and entered their general psychiatry residency. He was then accepted into the child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, where he currently serves as pediatric consultation-liaison chief fellow, and as a member of the education committee. Michael is drawn to clinical settings at the interface of psychiatry and medicine; he ultimately plans to return to Oklahoma to serve his hometown community with his unique set of skills.
