Dr. Elizabeth Cifra

Dr. Liz Mulaikal Cifra is an Associate Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and serves as an Associate Program Director for the MedStar Health (Baltimore) Internal Medicine Residency Program. She is a Baltimore native and attended the Bryn Mawr School before earning her undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York City. She went on to complete both Medical School and Internal Medicine Residency at Georgetown University.

Following Residency, Liz pursued a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at New York University. She later returned to Baltimore to join the Pulmonary and Critical Care Division at MedStar Health, where she serves as the Director of Pulmonary and Critical Care Education for the Residency Program.

Her academic interests include bedside ultrasonography, mechanical ventilation, and simulation-based training. Outside of medicine, she enjoys running, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
