Danny Rayes is a Chief Internal Medicine Resident at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where he works with program leadership to advance resident clinical and didactic education. He spent his early years in Dubai before moving to Northern Virginia, and later earned his undergraduate degree in Bioinformatics from Virginia Commonwealth University. He attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine before moving to DC for residency at Georgetown. Danny plans to pursue academic cardiology, with research interests spanning prevention, imaging, and informatics. He is also passionate about medical education and quality improvement. Outside of residency, he enjoys exploring DC's restaurants and coffee shops (which rival any great food city), spending time with family, traveling, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles.
