Sravya is a Georgetown Chief Resident who serves as the Medical Education Chief at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. Sravya grew up in Central New Jersey and later attended Cornell University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Development Sociology and Biological Sciences, with a concentration in Animal Physiology. She went on to attend NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine on Long Island for medical school before moving to Washington, DC, for residency at Georgetown, where she graduated from the Social Medicine and Health Equity Track. As Medical Education Chief, Sravya incorporates adult learning theory into her didactic conferences and helps build a longitudinal Grand Rounds and Life Conference curriculum. She plans to pursue fellowship in Hematology and Oncology, with research interests in addressing oncologic healthcare disparities. Outside the hospital, Sravya enjoys exploring national parks, running outdoors, reformer Pilates, cheering on the Minnesota Timberwolves, and spending time with her dog, Walnut.
